Clearing out the shite under our stairs cupboard and want to get organised (well more organised than I am.

What do you use for storage for your wrapping paper, ribbon and bows. I don't have any spare drawers anywhere else so am hoping for inspiration

my wrapping paper is in similar to this.
it has a handle on the top and is usually hung on a hook in a cupboard somewhere.

I've got a Really Useful Box specially for wrapping paper.

nancydrewrocked · 06/11/2010 18:21

I covet the really useful box - I spent £90 on them last week (although didn't buy the wrapping box) and feel a further splurge coming. They are a bit addictive.

I feel the need to put my entire house into Really Useful Boxes!

I just reused an upright box that had something else in it and stack the rolls in the top.
Doesn't solve the ribbon/bow prob though. sorry

I've got a really poncey bag for mine.

I can't remember the make but it was linked to on here once and I remember thinking " £X for a wrapping paper storage bag?! How ridiculous"

Weeks later I saw the exact bag, brand new in a charity shop for about £1.

When I bought it the woman asked me what it was for as none of the women there could work out what it was Smile

I have loads of stacking Ikea boxes for cards, ribbons, folded tissue paper etc. Large sheets of wrapping paper are rolled all together and kept on a shelf.

SharonGless · 06/11/2010 22:43

Oh my god I can't believe that there are actual storage solutions for wrapping paper rolls.
I like the stacking boxes solution for the cards ribbons etc and then may get a really useful box for the big rolls
Thanks for the inspiration

Eh? I just throw mine behind a bookcase. Grin

Bumperlicious · 06/11/2010 22:53

Mine is all in a suitcase. Not very organised though.

I got a thing from GLTC that has a coat hanger at the top, vertical sections for rolls, little pockets for tape, bows, tags etc and flat pockets on the back for bottle bags etc. It takes up as much space as a coat and we just keep in in hall cupboard.

An A4 wallet folder for odd bits of paper and folded sheets, plus gift bags, kept in a deep desk drawer. Ribbons and bows in a shoebox in another desk-drawer. Xmas rolls of wrap - hidden from the kids at the back of wardrobe hidden by long clothes. Birthday/regular rolls of wrap - in a plastic Addis lid-less laundry thing about 2-3 feet high, which I keep all craft rolls in, gnarled sticks for drama costumes (nativity, Moses, Scrooge, Gandalf etc), long cardboard tubes/cellophane/tissue paper rolls for craft work (with voluntary job).
