Did anyone see those clip on name tags recommended by Kirsty A on twitter?

Because I can't find them now. (yes I have googled)

They were attached with a kind of stapler type device which removed them as well. I can only find blank clip on labels.

Do any of you know what I mean? I'm SICK of sewing fiddley little labels into uniform and I don't really trust the iron on ones.

I use taggits as I also dislike forever sewing labels on clothes. Not sure if it's the same product but I would recommend them.

How do they work?

Whippet · 03/11/2010 15:02

Looks like an over-engineered solution for a non-existing problem?

You wouldn't want this on the label at the back of the neck - it would be really irritating - and in my experience schools and kids wouldn't go rummaging about to find a tag hidden away on a label on the inner seam etc?

Iron on labels are your best bet, and provided you follow the instructions they do work.
Failing that - Sharpie pen - quick & easy!!

GailFawkes · 03/11/2010 17:36

Whippet I presume you've never used them Grin I usually fasten them to the labels that I would have ironed the iron on tags on - IYSWIM. No irritation, easily seen, never had one fall off.

I (and the DCs) would HATE having something plastic in the back of the neck of a garment though - like a spare button constantly rubbing?

I just can't understand why everyone gets so het up over name labels - just write their name in FFS, or iron on labels?

The DCs have loads of things to label (sports kits, science overalls etc) but it doesn't take long.

Each to their own though...
