Help with smelly ballerina shoes!!!

Hi everyone and sorry if this is not the right place to post this!

My question for all of you housekeeping goddesses is: how do you stop ballerina shoes from smelling horrid after a few weeks/months?

I must assure you that I shower every day and my feet never smell with any other type of shoes, but when I wear ballerinas they smell so bad that I cannot take my shoes off in front of anyone as it would be extremely embarrassing.

HELP PLEASE!

Ive never tried this but I have been told that putting shoes into a plastic bag and then into the freezer overnight will kill the germs which cause the smell.

Get some baking soda and sprinkle it in. leave overnight and empty. You can add a few drops of an essential oil too, tea tree or lavender is good but anything you like.

Not sure what material they are but have you tried putting them in a pillow case in the washing machine?

Thank you for your replies! I have a few pairs so will try different remedies on each of them!
