what do you recommend ? my Hoover one has packed up after 5 years - it's always been a bit wonky, with bits falling off....

I posted some links for someone last week- if you search by my name you'll find it. There was a recent Guardian article based on the Which report and some recommendations from the Good Housekeeping Institute.

I have a Bosch- have had it 5 years and it's working great. I work it hard too.

thank you ! I like Bosch as our w machine & fridge/freezer are Bosch, - saw a reasonably priced Whirlpool one on internet...
Have just been lectured by several sanctimonious friends about the evils of tumble drying - I do hang stuff up, but space indoors is severely limited - grrrr

We have a Zanussi, bought 7 years ago and still going strong. My mum has a bosch which is a bit rubbish really, doesn't seem to get hot enough.

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/11/2010 16:42

was looking at a Zanussi today in Curry's- and a Hotpoint online...
