Nice non plasticky drawer type things for dd's toys

Dd1 is starting to get piddly little toy sets like peppa pig & sylvanian families with lots of little bits. I'm looking for nice storage solutions with drawers to contain it all. I know everyone raves about trofast but dh won't countenance plastic storage.

Anyone got any ideas?

Something like this (bit pricey really) and then put small world toys in rattan baskets/drawers and place on unit.

Or a cheaper option
these

We have some ikea shelving units and have toys in ikea baskets (our particular range has been discontinued but they do similar)

expedit (you can get different sizes, 1x4, 2x4, 4x4) with any of these?

TheDailyWail · 30/10/2010 19:27

How about the ones from the cotswold company?

Bumperlicious · 30/10/2010 20:33

Thanks for the replies. Really like the vertbaudet ones. Will think about the expedit ones too but may be a bit chunky.

Think Cotswold trading is a bit out of my price range.

We have the taller Expedit shelves in DD's room and play room. The one used for her playsets such as Sylvanias, has 8 pink canvas boxes, shown \link{http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40133545\here}

yy to expedit. Just great for childrens stuff, and look nice too.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 30/10/2010 20:45

The long expedit units (the 1x4 ones) are good on their side, with the top for bigger things like Sylvanian houses/peppa pig playground etc :)
Actually, if your DD is tall enough, a 2x4 on it's side would be really good and give her a huge play area at the right level.

Yes - we have the Expedit ones (5x4) and it's been great. We have pink and white boxes for DD but you could use any nice boxes - rattan/clear plastic etc
