paints for a murial?

On an internal wall, currently painted in emulsion - what paint type do I need?

acrylics are best. i'm sure you can paint over the top of emulsion without problems.

Actually DH did one with ordinary emulsions, and gloss for a different texture.

I did dd's using tester pots of emulsion. Would it not be easier to use wall stickers for the gruffalo? (you can get them on e-bay) or get someone very artistic to draw it onto the wall.

my very arty friend is going to do out lines and paint on to wall, dont like wall stickers (friend's kids peeled them all off last time, taking paint off back to plaster)
