Has anyone bought furniture from Dwell online? I am looking at ordering a coffee table and wondered what the quality/service was like.

I ordered a wooden coffee table and sent it back. It Had sharp mental pieces to the legs which would have damaged my floor. For such a big purchase I would look in a shop then maybe if they are offering discount online buy on line. I have bought loads on line and get it wrong not going to do it again.

Was going to buy a Dwell glass table for my kitchen. It folded down with flaps either side. Made a journey into London to look at it (having phoned the shop first to make sure that it was on display). The model they had had a broken hinge (a crucial part of the mechanism) and I didn't want that to happen to mine so I didn't order it.

A lucky escape I think. Go and look at the quality for yourself before you order.

I have Dwell stuff - quality is variable. Some of it is really nice and very well made, some of it more like Ikea. Agree with Nutty and Pip - you need to go to the shop.

Service is good though and delivery times mercifully short by furniture standards

Thanks for your replies. Going to look isn't really an option as nearest shop is over 2 hours drive away. I have taken a risk and ordered online (found a free delivery code in a magazine this weekend which kind of swayed us). Fingers crossed!

It's a little bit on the 'cheap' side, but I got a desk chair that I'm perfectly happy with.

Do not give them your mobile phone number though.... I am bothered by promotional texts from them on a regular basis.

Good luck. They do collect quikly if you don't like it and give you a refund but keep an eye on the refund I had to remind them.

Not the best I found, we ordered a sofa, it came and didn't have the the drill holes in to afix the legs to! Although one bad experience shouldn't put you off. And yeah I agree, some things can look a little "cheap".
