Dyson handheld vacuums

Didn't want to hijack another poster's thread so am asking all current owners....

Is it really worth paying an extra £30 for the DC31 (the blue one)?
It has dual power (70% extra suction) and 10 mins of vacuuming battery life rather than 6 mins compared to the DC30 (the yellow one).

I'm paying with nectar points but have to remember that although this is not real money, I had to spend a blooming fortune in Sainsbo's to get that £30!

Hi - I am just about to buy one and am going for the DC31 as it apparently has up to 10 mins battery life compared to 6 for the yellow one. I've seen it online for £99.99 so am going to go for that.

I have the DC30 and find it adequate for everything I need it for which is mostly hoovering out the car and doing the stairs (when I can't be bothered to lug the big Dyson out)

I think it normally lasts more than 6 minutes (it has never run out on me) but I guess that means the DC31 probably lasts more than 10.

Mine arrives tomorrow, I'm sadly quite excited!

I went for the DC30 in the end and it was £93 as I had to get it from Amazon (opposed to £125 for the DC31).
I would have bought the DC31 if I could've got it for £100.

I'm sure I'll find it does the job, it's just when an improved model appeared I got tempted.

Is my new Dyson broken?
I would get more suction doing it manually! Or I could just blow the bits and dust towards the bin.
Don't know whether to send it backConfused

I've had one for about 2 years. It's brilliant.

My sis has just been round and said to send it back as it's not working.
I was beginning to wonder why everyone was saying they were so good!

I find the brush bit the most useful. Can't wait to attach the car and see if it really works!
