Is white wine vinegar the same as white vinegar? I want to use it for cleaning, not cooking, which is why I'm asking here

Not really, it's more expensive for a start, and is used in cooking. If using for cleaning just plain white vinegar is what you want.

It will do the same job, but it's not the same thing and it's much more expensive - you want distilled white vinegar, cheapest you can get.

distilled white malt vinegar is what I use - I bought some in morrisons today

Where can you get large quantities of it? Only seems to come in little glass bottles at Tesco, Asda, locally

Thanks, all. I'll search Tesco for it tomorrow (Asda only had white wine vinegar, and I wasn't sure if it was the same thing)
