Slow running outside drain

What can i do to clear my outside kitchen drain?

It doesn't seem to be blocked as it is draining but just very very slowly. The washer empties into this drain too and so every time I run the washer, the drain overflows as it can't cope with the amount of water.

I've cleaned the gunk out of the grate on top of the drain and poured some boiling water down but its still running slow - any ideas?

We had that a while ago. It kept getting blocked because it didn't drain quick enough. Turned out that a joint in the pipe which went underground into the soakaway was dislodged, so soil had got in and clogged it up. Had to get the drain people in, and they dug it out and repaired it, and it's been fine ever since.

Woollywonka that sounds awful....I'm hoping it's not something like that and just a build up of grime and muck

Thanks Seona will try soda crystals
