Damit, my iron just died, what sort do you have and would you recommend it?

I'll probably be the lone voice recommending a press but I love mine - its tricky to get used to doing shirts on but once you get the knack you can do your ironing in literally a quarter of the time.

i have a steam generator iron and it is the dogs bollocks......fantastic. Ok, so it wasnt cheap, but it is alredy 4 years old which is longer than any other iron had previously lasted me and i got it in a sale...it's a tefal....

Philips steam generator iron- it's fabulous. I'd never go back to a normal iron now.

Ours died yesterday.
