How to get a oil stain out of satin?

I treated myself to a satin clutch bag which I took to a wedding yesterday. I was ever so careful when we were there and it came home in perfect condition. Unfortunately, when I got home, I put it on top of my chest of drawers where I had an open sachet of a scar treatment which has left a really dark oily stain on the bag. SadAngry. Has anyone got any tips to remove it? I tried a baby wipe but it just spread the stain. Would a dry clenaers be able to help?

TIA

fullers earth might work. you shoyld be able to but it from any pharmacy - sprinkle it on, leave for a few hours and brush off.

it's meant to absorb oil - i have read this tip elsewhere but not tried it myself so can't comment on how effective it is.

Get a brown paper bag/parcel paper and iron over it on the satin - the paper should absorb the oil.

Good luck

Thanks so much for the tips. Its so long since I bought something just because it was pretty rather than it being something I needed so I'm so upset to have spoiled it. I will give those ideas a go Smile
