Black leather gloves shouldn't stain....should they ?

Normally buy woolly gloves, but just got some M&S black leather ones.

Came home to find 2 large smudges on my face!
Had been raining, but dye should be properly fixed, no ?

Not in my experience, no. Mind you mine is all with motorcycle leathers...

cheap ones will run

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 16/10/2010 21:37

And you daren't take dear ones out in wet weather, just in case... Grin

I didn't think M&S did "cheap ones" Wink.

Pity, they're really comfortable.
Just never occurred to me that they might run.

Could you fit fine cotton or silk gloves inside the leather? They could turn blue instead of your skin.

I love my leather gloves, use them for everything, driving, wear them when I'm de-icing the car, in the rain etc, never had a problem with the dye running. I would take them back if I were you and exchange them for a different style maybe?.
