wallpaper on one wall - trendy or never to be repeated?

Floral, stripy, striking, feature wallpaper on just one wall. I see this in quite a few magazines. DH says it reminds him of the 70s fashion of one wall in one colour and the rest in a different one. I didn't grow up in the UK to have seen this trend, so to me it looks alright. Is it a nice trendy look or am I misguided and would I regret it?

You must judge it on it's colour. Hoho.
It's not a problem for me, tbh I always know exactly where any of my books are I never have to go searching.

Much easier than trying to alphabetise or categorise books. I'm going to try it tomorrow. Would never have occurred to me. Lovely block of colour from the Penguins.

Book buying will never be the same again. Gap in the colour scheme? Jilly Cooper may well do :)

I love books to provide colour in a room. We have books in every room. I even stack big art books up and use them as side tables (particularly the ones I don't look at that often). I always found wallpaper such a commitment - adding colour with accessories (even books) means you can ring the changes more.
