Can anyone recommend a washing powder...

For my son? He has eczema, so I use Fairy non-bio and fabric softener. They get the clothes clean and don't irritate his skin, but don't leave any fragrance. Does anyone use one for sensitive skin that has a scent?

Persil non-bio liquid is good and I have had chronic eczema all my life.

To be honest though, if it's bad eczema, I really wouldn't worry if it doesn't have a nice scent; your main goal is to have calm skin, not smell good Smile

The fragrance is often the problem so I can't think of any with a scent. I use surcare but no scent.

You are advised to avoid fragranced products with eczema, as a rule.

I know it's a long shot, but I miss that "just washed" smell with ds's clothes. Ah well, at least he's not itchy.

have you tried the fairy almond milk and honey one- it smells nice

I can always smell Fairy non-bio on other people's clothes, do you think maybe you can't smell it because it is your washing smell, IYSWIM!

I think fabric conditioner isn't supposed to be great for eczema, as it doesn't let the fabric breathe. We use Persil non bio liquid, as everything else irritates either my or the dds skin (even Surcare and Ecover).

I find liquid less irritating than powder, and find that the main thing is to never change, if dds wear anything washed in something else they flare up.

Simply washing is great. They do non-bio. I like the smell but it doesn't smell of much. You can get them at the co-op I think or at their website

Ecover.

My son used to have eczema and Ecover non-bio was great.
