Help - I've smashed the oven door

oh feck.

It is just the outer bit that is completely smashed.
I only bumped it really lightly but the whole thing has smashed.

The oven is 12 yrs old so I can find an exact replacement door.

Do I really have to buy a new oven?

You probably can get a replacement. Google replacement oven doors. We used a company called espares I think, for a part for an old dishwasher. They seem to have everything.

What make and model of oven?

its an Ariston DOV317.
their spares website is rubbish.

actually it wastn't espares I tried - they do have one but not much info given.

not cheap though.
and no idea if I'll be able to fit it.

I was about to say that it's unlikely you'll find the outer door glass but then I found this

I got a replacement front glass for my oven when one of my twins threw a big marble at it, I got rid when the fsd failed after three years. I found a cooker on ebay for £36.01, and has been far better that the previous one ever was, good luck.

where did you get the replacement from?

i'm still in hope that I might not have to get a new oven...

(and what is fsd?)
