But I can't be arsed to start 2 threads

1, Can I put my shower curtain in the washing machine? My bathroom is horrible (not because I don't try to keep it nice, it's just not possible!) & there's mould everywhere & I noticed it on the curtain this morning. If not I'll go back to the pound shop for another

2, Is it possible to have an oven door replaced without needing to replace the entire oven as I can't afford to do that.

Belling are being entirely useless at helping me with this problem, even though it actually occurred when the oven was under warranty & I did contact them then. They sent an engineer out who had never seen the problem I have (the door kind of slopes & misses the spike that it shuts onto iyswim?) & couldn't work out how to fix it for me.

I can't be arsed with them any more & just want a door I don't have to slam with huge force to close!

Thank for any help with either Smile

1: on my last shower curtain it said yes, but wash without soap. If it's one of those flimsy fabrics.

2: yes, you can - they shouldn't be so arsy about it - Belling used to be the easiest doors to replace.

Will add ring Belling back onto my to do list cheers.

& I'll check my shower curtain for a label That didn't occur to me at all!!

Thanks

  1. Yes, I used to wash both plastic and fabric ones in the washing machine.
  1. That's a load of crap. The door needs realigning probably. Kick some butt again.

Lemony, I have spoken to someone else, need to get dp to pull cooker out so I can find model number from back of it & ring them back. Might be able to push for a freebie because it's been rumbling on so long she reckoned but said she'd sort that when I ring back. Or at least try for some discount for me

my shower curtain is gross- i washed it in machine and it just came out a tiny bit cleaner and v v v creased.

Any other ways to clean it? Dont really want to buy another.

mogs0 · 06/10/2010 17:32

I put my shower curtain in that washing machine. I have also soaked the bottom of it in diluted bleach to get rid of the mould.

lucysmam · 06/10/2010 19:28

mogs0, good idea, will try that tomorrow first

I wash mine in the washer with lemon juice, gets rid of the mould and smells :)

Dont know much about ovens im afraid :(

After spending ages looking for a left-side-opening oven door, I was told by gas fitter that all doors were made interchangeable and would simply slot in whichever side was most convenient in the kitchen... I realise Belling are electric rather than gas, but am wondering if a new door would hang better if placed on the opposite side, if this would work IYSWIM ?
