Where can I find bed valance in heavy fabric?

I am looking for a valance for our bed in a lovely thick fabric, preferably dark red. The sort of things you get in hotels. Tried John Lewis, googling etc but can only find normal cotton ones.

Maybe a heavy linen or velvet....but I want it look like part of the bed rather than just covering it if you see what I mean.

Any ideas?

What do you think about stapling fabric to the base? A long strip round 3 sides. ( unless of course you have drawers , that would make it much more complicated.) Ikea do a bedbase cover...looks like a fitted sheet but might be an idea to copy.

I was given two sets of lovely black/ cream curtains by my mil. i hung one set and used the other set to cover my divan base and make a few cushions. It all looks so hotel like i must say!

And meant to add like trumpton says i just stapled it on, just borrowed a wall stapler from work it wasnt even an upholstery one or anything

I was looking for something similar but in white.

I hate flouncy stuff and found this one here at Zara home
When I looked, the delivery charge was a whopping £29 so it was cheaper to go to Westfield!

Sorry I can't find red so you may have to try foreign websites to find what you're looking for in the desired colour.
