How do you make clothes smell nice from the tumble drier?

I hate using the drier as the clothes don't smell as fresh as they do when on the line but with 3 kids and the central heating not on yet I have to. How do you get clothes to emerge form drier smelling fresh and clean? My kids have sensitive skin so I am reluctant to use fabric conditioners. Any solutions? essential oils even?

Bounce sheets

I use tumble drier sheets.

Ds has sensitive skin too but no skin irritation from the T/D sheets.

A dry baby wipe with a few of drops of lavender oil on. Worked just as well as those bounce thingys. Well, I thought so anyway!

I do similar to MrsNoggin when I have to use the drier. Small dry flannel with a few drops of lavender and a few of lemon oil. Smells lovely! I use the same in the iron.

I wet a flannel with water and a few drops of citronella and put it in but it did not work! I will try again with a dry flannel or dry wipe. The iron is a good idea thanks.

Definitely needs to be dry, and be generous with the drops, I give it a good ten of lavender and same of lemon.

Yes I tried it dry and got a hint of a lemon smell at last. I'll be a bit more lavish with my drops next time.
Cheers.

I find the opposite a problem. My clothes never smell as nice from the line as they do from the tumbler. I use fabric softner then they come out smelling lovely and feeling soft. Dont use fabric softner for towels though as it stops them from being absorbant. Tumbler should be enough to keep them soft.
