Dishwasher coming any day now but never had one before. What's the best cleaning stuff & any other usage tips?

I use whatever is cheapest.

Am using Finish at the moment as I got 4boxes when they where 1/2 price in ASDA 6mths ago. Last week I picked up Fairy as they were on offer £9 instead of £20 form 90 tablets.

I also use what is on offer. I think it was Asda that had the offer on Fairy tablets. I am using Finish ones just now too. I tend to load mine after dinner and it runs while we are in bed. I also use rinse aid and salt (both supermarket own brand)

thanks, will keep an eye out for offers. why do i need salt & rinse aid?

Most tablets now include rinse aid, although I prefer basic classic tablets (cheaper) and to top it up. It means residual food doesn't stick to plates and glasses. Salt softens the water and you can buy a big bag of special granular salt.
