HELP! Water not drained from washing machine!

Put washing on this morning. Went to empty it later and water went everywhere! So I assumed it had been turned off before it had finished and set it to run again. Opened it when finished and guess what? Water everywhere! Set it to just rinse and drain (haven't got 'drain' only setting) and there's still water in it! I don't know what to do now! My washing is still inthere and i can't get it out!

HELP!!

i wonder if you have a blockage. you will need alot of towels and a bucket. get the stuff out and then pull machine out and check your pipeage Grin

LIZS · 28/09/2010 16:50

Can you check your filter , maybe it is blocked ?

BertieBotts · 28/09/2010 16:52

Agree that you will need lots of towels... and probably to take the clothes to a neighbour's house for a rinse and spin in their machine.

It probably is a blockage.

Oh God! Feel really pathetic over this. My first thought was wait till DH comes home and he'll sort it Blush

Right! First things first then, off to get the washing out of the machine. I will report back.

Sad think it has died.

Cleaned out filter thing at the bottom (not a hotpoint thank god jojo), which had the dual effect of emptying the water from the drum so that was handy Hmm.

DH pulled machine out and had a look at all the pipes and thought he found a blockage but when we tried it again it is still not draining. Also noticed it sounds a bit sorry for itself when spinning so think its dead now.

Bloody going on holiday next week too so could really do without this!
