I need a new toaster that fits Warburtons in it!

Simple as the title! The toaster we have drives my OH round the bend because when you put Warburtons in it the end of the slice pokes out ans he has to turn it over. This doesn't really bother me but is driving OH to distraction. What makes him happy makes me happy! (Or at least stops me having to listen to him bitch about the toaster every time he uses it!)

So, any suggestions?

Or buy different bread.

lol this problem winds me up too! but DH is fine with it! so we have the same issue as you but in reverse Grin like the idea of an old 4 slice toaster...

Ah yes there is an adaptor you can buy for Warbutons. It's quite nifty actually, works for other breads too, which makes your toaster fit the bread.

The come in all sorts of colours too, chrome, stainless steel, even silver. And you can even get plastic ones (but they don't last long). Here's where you can get one from <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=files.turbosquid.com/Preview/Content_2009_07_15__07_31_20/Butter_Knife.jpgA4526C16-92F4-459E-B9BB410FA0B7A808.jpgLarge.jpg&imgrefurl=www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/butter-knife-3d-lwo/149004&usg=__6ZnTi3PWlOV-2r6Q531m_hSnrd0=&h=400&w=400&sz=6&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=I3o7ByY7xQb6QM:&tbnh=147&tbnw=147&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbutter%2Bknife%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den%26biw%3D1066%26bih%3D585%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=771&ei=Pcm0TNyxK4qUOr7atM0J&oei=Pcm0TNyxK4qUOr7atM0J&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&tx=60&ty=100" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">link to exciting tool

Put it in sideways... Grin

southeastastra · 12/10/2010 21:50

use the grill Grin

muslimah28 · 12/10/2010 22:00

ive tried the 'exciting tool' method, managed to pick up a bargain one lol, but it leaves the middle bit of the bread having an extra 'crust' if that makes sense. tried putting it in sideways, it's still too long ( i think that's what the old toaster idea is about, get a long toaster and put the bread in sideways).grill is too much faff.

a solution to this still remains to be found....

BelleDameAvecBroomstick · 12/10/2010 22:10

I've got a toaster in which Warburtons fits (sideways). It's a Russell Hobbs one. I thought it was just a normal toaster... Will try to find similar one online.

BelleDameAvecBroomstick · 12/10/2010 22:12

Here it is. Out of stock on this site but I got mine at Sainsbury's.

BelleDameAvecBroomstick · 12/10/2010 22:13

In stock and reduced on Amazon.

Zombie thread alert but I would love to know the answer to this still!

ReallyBadParty · 11/03/2015 12:09

Oh, there was another thread about this ages ago, and I scrapped my fancy toaster, which didn't fit the blimming bread in,and bought the Asda own one recommended on it.

Has changed my life Grin

SueChef · 11/03/2015 14:36
