Laminate novice - for the love of god, help me!

I am a self confessed slattern.

I am used to carpets. On a good day - chuck kids in bed, hoover, done.

Now I am in a house with laminate throughout the whole downstairs. I am spending all my time sweeping up fluff and crumbs and god knows what.

There has to be an easier way than this?!

What do I doooooooooooooooo?

I vacuum if it gets really bad, sweep up the obvious bits if it's only quite bad. laminate is much easier to vacuum as the vacuum cleaner slides about easiy.

Vacuum, tis the only way.

Mop when necessary but wring the mop out til it's almost bone dry. Then do not walk on the laminate for two days otherwise you'll get footprints on it.

I had a mini hoover for obvious crumbs, and tackle at the source of impact.

Then just a quick hoover and mop with microfibre every evening.

I have hgeard very good things about to robo hoovers though. There are lots of threads.

I hoover every day Sad
I have one of these flat mops, like the ones used in offices. But almost dry as the other posters said.
