DD1 was doing so well with going all night with a dry bed but over the last week and half shes been wetting again :(. The problem is the smell of wee in there is now really strong! Ive washed the matress cover (smells fresh) I scrubbed the matress (smells fresh) washed bedding (obv) and i can still smell pee!

I made sure she hadnt hidden any pjs that were wet, i even changed DD2s bedding as thought it maybe her i could smell (shes in nappies) but the stinks still there every time i walk in. Ive smelt the bed and it smells fine and as far as i know she hasnt weed on the carpet, what else could it be and how do i get rid of it? DP says it makes him feel sick when he walks in, the only good thing is it keeps DS out of there so they are not arguing about him being in her room Grin. Please help xxx

Wooden slats on the bed? We had this and I traced it to wee soaking into the slats eventually :(

Arghh you are kidding? Never thought of that :( How do i clean those? They are just wood and not varnished or stained or anything. Feel like just chucking the whole bed in the tip to be honest.

Got up this morning and the smell was awful and she had a pull up on last night! Had the patio doors in there open for least an hour but is still whiffy :(

Make sure you put a good layer of thick newpaper on the floor underneath the slats and srub the wood with a weak bleach solution or neat Disinfectant (Dettol) Have you thought of getting a matress protector? Boots do them. Lovely soft, washable breathable fabric, not horrid rustly plastic. I have them on all our beds with a quilted matres cover on top underneath the fitted sheet. Good luck!

Sorry about spelling! Must use preview...

The top layer of the matress has a zip off protector and its waterproof under that but some how the wee leaked through. I think she must of wee'd on the carpet somewhere too as its still strong. We were going to clean the living room carpet anyway so il give hers a go too see if it sweetens it up a bit lol. Thanks for your advice will try that with slats.
