Disaster overted, I posted on here before googling in a state of panic.

But for those of you who may ask the same question as me, scrub with toothpaste on a toothbrush and then wash with warm, soapy cloth.

You'd never know it was there!

Other suggestions were:

  • WD40
  • Bounce Tumble Dryer Sheets
  • Baby Wipes
  • Hairspray
  • Magic Eraser Squares
  • Milk on a cloth (courtesy of Kim and Aggie)
  • Hairdryer
  • Ironing over brown paper
  • Nail Varnish Remover

Toothpaste was my 5th option after baby wipes didnt work, neither did nail varnish remover, the iron, or the hairdryer!

Try baby wipes. I use one of those magic erasers that you can get in supermarkets and Lakeland. It's like a sponge that you can cut bits off, dampen with water and gently rub on the wall, furniture etc. It was reccommended to me by a mumsnetter a few years ago after my lovely DD drew all over a chest of drawers with pink felt tip. I feel your pain!

Oops! You beat me to it. Glad you got it sorted.

Thanks anyway Twinky. I had heard those magic erasers are good but don't have one in the house. I was surprised at toothpaste but it worked a treat!
