What do you store the kid's crayons, pens, work books, etc in?

I have it all in boxes and drawers on wheels in the cupboard under the stairs and it is such a mess. It takes me a good 2 hours to sort it all out including checking the pens work and sharpening all the pencils and it lasts for about a day. It just doesn't work storing it like that anymore and seems such a waste of a decent sized cupboard.

i keep all teh fiddly stuff in one of those idea bucket holding things in dd's room. why are you keeping it in a cupboard?

It is more like a small room than a cupboard and it has always been kept in there since they were small so I was always nearby when they took it. There is so much and there isn't room in their rooms. They are still daft young enough to draw on their walls, floors, etc etc so I want them doing art things in the kitchen.

Combination of Ikea Trofast (the shallow drawers work best for pens and paper; the deep drawers for toys). Then within the shallow drawer I use those plastic containers that tomatoes etc come in from the supermarket. One for crayons, one for pens etc. It all looks super organised and makes me feel smug Wink

I now have a blister on my finger after spending 2 hours sharpening about 100 pencils. The cupboard looks really good now. I wonder how long it will last?Hmm

Does Ikea deliver?
