I assume it can't go in the dishwasher because you are not meant to clean it with soap but is hot water really enough to clean it?

I dunno but I'm marking my place because I have a dish and I've been cleaning it with hot
(and I mean really boiling) water, and it feels all greasy and yukky.

I have just boiling water over mine. Normally it comes clean okay it just would be easier if it could be dishwasher clean. Maybe it is a psychological thing .

I only ever clean mine in hot water and they're fine. They feel greasy when wet but I just assume that's the non-stickness and they don't feel greasy once they've dried. And they don't smell of anythng either. I love them - so easy! (I don't have a dishwasher - yet!)

When I bought mine I was told to just use hot water.

I can't bring myself to do this though cos they don't feel clean to me and it's not enough imo. I use hot water (sometimes a soak for a bit) and a squirt of washing up liquid, then I use a dish brush to scrub it and rinse it.

It's not done any harm, the dishes do have that 'used' look they're supposed to get, but sorry Pampered Chef no way am I going to think a dish that feels all greasy is clean

Eh? I have one of their flat stone things. Don't have a dishwasher but I've always given mine a really good scrub with a brush and loads of w/u liquid. It has been fine for ten years now.

I use a tiny bit of washing up liquid and mine have been fine - can't be doing with that slimey greasy feeling! I wouldn't buy any more stoneware - I don't think they are any better than any other dish I've got tbh.
