crayon on clothes and in dryer

I found a piece of crayon in my dryer, after washing it in the pocket of something.

Nearly all the clothes have blue spots on them. This includes OH's 2 out 3 work shirts. OH isn't happy!

How do I get crayon out of clothes? And off the dryer?

They were standard wax crayons.

Thanks

The only thing I can recommend is stain slayer / desolv it. Its about £2 for a small can. Removed crayon from my wall and lily pollen from my carpet.

Its a spray on stain remover and is pretty lethal. It skints as well.

It may make some airing of the clothes to get rid of the smell.

My local tescos stock in with laundry stain removers.

It will probably work on your dryer to. WD40 would work on your dryer as well but may leave residue for future washing.

Recommend you wash some old towels and put through dryer before using any decent clothes in it again even if you use stain slayer

Thanks diet, I will try and find it here.

There are quite a few clothes that got the crayon treatment.

Any update? Did it work?

The only thing I could find was Sard Wonder Soap here. And it has got the crayon off the clothes with a lot of scrubbing from me. And apparently you can wash dishes and your hands with it so it must be wonderful.

I scraped the lumps of crayon off the dryer with a knife which on reflection was a bit of a silly thing to do, and then as all I had was cream cleaner and I needed the dryer, I used that for the smears and it cleaned it off.

So crayon disaster resolved. Thanks for asking!
