dishwasher novice - please help

I finally have a dishwasher, whoo hoo!
only a small table top mashine, but still.

It came with a pack of quantum tabs, but reading the ingredients I don*t want them again when they are empty...

has anyone experience with the ecover detergent?
what else do I need? the quantum thingies are all in one, but I guess I would need salt and rinse aid?
we are in a hard water area.

I use half a tablet of tescos cheapest = £1.76 for 30 tabs (making 60 washes!) and they are fine.

I still use salt, but no rinse aid and we too are in a hard water area. I also only do a 30 min wash, no dry.

It's a bit of trial an error at first until you find what you like.

But......you'll be so glad you've got it and you'll soon be moaning about having to empty the blooming thing.
