Contemporary kitchen window covering - what on earth

I want to put in some window coverings to my kitchen windows - specifically a long, low window that's over the sink out of shot of the picture, but added it so you can see the style of the kitchen. Quite minimalist (we no longer have the red rug, or green chairs) with a very pale aqua glass splashback. What kind will work - everything I can imagine looks too "country" or flouncy.....

How about those white japanese paper screens some have white on white patterns on. They come in panels and slide back horizontally like curtains rather than rolling up like blinds. They're very plain and tranquil.

These ones are fussier than I meant - you can get plain white - no wood panelling. My sister had some beautiful ones from IKEA a little like this.
