Stains on clothes now summer's on its way out?

Read on a thread here about the powers of sunlight to get stains out of clothes and will admit to being a bit Hmm. I did start hanging the clothing that came out of the washer still stained on the outside of my rotary line to get the full sun, and on the whole it worked! Grin

Unfortunately, now the sun is not shining as brightly it's magical stain removing properties are fading fast.
I am weaning twins and have dd1(2.2) who is still a bit hit and miss with her spoon so my laundry is now starting to look terrible!

Does anyone have any suggestions on stain removing products? Have tried several vanish products but have not been impressed!

The sunlight does still work in winter but you might have to leave things out for a couple of days rather than a few hours. I used to use cloth nappies and not want to use harsh stain removers on them, just left the worst ones on the line for a couple of days.

actually, ecover stain remover is remarkably good

Mine seem to get in more of a mess with bibs! They grab and pull at them with mucky fingers so their tops get even more grubby than if it was just dribble!

Will give the ecover a go and hope that the rain holds off for a couple of days in a row!
Thank you Smile

Try a bit of nappysan gets anything out that stuff. I leave stuff out in rain for a bit sometimes its amazing how it gets stains out :)
