Once and for all - stripy clothes with whites or colours?

What's the verdict.

DSs have numerous rugby shirts/polo shirts/stripy Tshirts.

Do they go with whites or colours?

Or pale colours?

I don't have enought for a stripy wash!

are stripes printed or woven?

if the former sort by base colour

if the latter, white&light stripes go in a white wash, white&strong or white&dark stripes go in a coloured wash

This one looks woven. White and red!

There's a book called something like How to Make Clothes Really Flat that addresses this exact question, and he says, IIRC, 'Coloured wash. Otherwise you risk Ruining the Whole Wash. Anything other than Ruining the Whole Wash counts as a triumph.'
