Best washing liquid?

I've tried Ariel, Daz, Bold and still not getting stains out completely 1st time. Sometimes spray with vanish on mud or tomato sauce - but still not 100% away after a 40 or 60 degree wash - albeit a quick 40 or 60 degree - 55 mins cycle. Should I do the full length cycle or is there a better liquid out there?

def powder and for extra cleaning I end up using bio.

I've recently discovered Bio is much better than non bio for stains so I keep both, non bio for unstained normal wash, bio for wash with lots of stains.

If you have hard water put in a slug of soda crystals with your powder to soften the water and improve the wash

Lidl's Formil washing powder is great value
