How do i get a sticky label removed from a piece of furniture

Being skint,we got a piece of furniture from the local BHF shop, and it got delivered today, but there is a square white sticker on the front of it, which has left bits behind when I removed it. Any suggestions on how to get rid?

Try rolling some blu-tack over it. Babywipes may work too.

I seem to remember from watching 'How clean is your house' that you can put mayonnaise on sticky labels, leave it for a couple of minutes and then it will come off.
