Any recommendations?

Must be cheap :) but I don't want one so cheap that it'll be rubbish.

I mostly want to get up bits off 8 m.o. DS's playmat without having to get the big hoover out, but when he's bigger, I'd like him to be able to join in the hoovering with me (ha ha).

I have a black and decker 9.6v one which is about 5 years old and giving up the ghost and I've been trying, not very hard, to replace it. I think they've gone out of fashion and there's less of a range on sale than there used to be, I can't find anything as powerful as my old one without spending more than £50. I wouldn't get anything less than about 7v or they are pathetically weak. Just looked at Argos website, they have a Bush one for £20 which I think I will get.

The Dyson handheld is brilliant - don't know the cost though.

Thanks, both. I'll look at that one, Birdy and it's useful to know about the voltage.

saadia, I looked at the Dyson and they cost around £95 so that's out - I'd not trust a toddler with that! Grin
