Which towels?

The time has come for new towels. I confess that I have never bought towels before - MIL normally buys them as pressies.

Would anyone like to recommend their towels to me? I have had a look at House of Frazer but they all look a bit dull. I was thinking of something a bit brighter for the DC.

I bought some nice ones from Dunnelm Mill recently. They'd big and fluffy and have a good range of colours.

Thanks for that Plumm - are they online.

Maybe towel shopping should be done in the flesh rather than online. DH gets fabric fatigue all to easily, he wouldn't last 5 minutes towel shopping. I don't think I'd enjoy it much either actually.

Yep - it's going to have to be online Grin.

Try Homesense too for Christy and Fenn Wright Manson.
I'm tempted by the 800gm towels - I didn't know they even came that thick!

thedollyridesout · 01/09/2010 10:42

I'm not sure that I'm keen on really thick towels. The DC find them heavy and hard to manipulate.

Thanks for the Christy link morag - the stripe ones are nice.

My christy towels are 13 years old and still look good. You can sometimes find them at tk maxx.

I bought Dunelm Mill ones recently and am pleased with them. Would not rcommend BHS, even though they alwasy do well in GH tests.

We were given Christy towels as an engagement present, 14 years ago, (married for 13 years) and they are still going strong. Excellent quality, wash well, still lovely and soft and fluffy. I also have some BHS ones that date back to my single days that seem to be indestructible. Not as nice as the Christy ones but perfectly useable and OK.
