playdoh in carpet

I know, I know. Leaving other people's children to play unsupervised in dd1's room whilst dd1 is at nursery and mums have a cuppa downstairs was never a good idea (but so tempting). So now we have yellow and green playdoh trodden into a beige carpet. So what, other than a rug doctor, does this particular quandry require?

We have orange playdoh in our beige carpet. So far nothing has got it out. The only reason I am not too bothered is that we will be replacing the carpet sometime soon. Sorry that's no help to you at all, but just wanted to let you know you're not alone. Grin

leave it to go dry and hard and use a stiff bristled brush
Should mostly remove it

And here was me hoping there was a magic bottle of stuff I could get that would make it all better Sad
