Would you buy a SIlver Cross sewing machine?

I have never had a sewing machine. There was a good quality one Singer in Lidl a few weeks ago but we were too late to buy it. Now they are going to sell a Silver Cross for £59.99. I wonder whether it is a good sewing machine in comparison to John Lewis ones or other brands. Very good price but what about the quality.

It is actually a Silver Crest. But anyway, we think it is better to buy something we know like Singer than something we cannot even find reviews about.
