help I can't remove one of my boys football studs

I know this is not strictly housekeeping,but I've had no luck over in education.
I need to change my ds's studs from metal tipped to rubber as he can't have the metal tips for school.
11 studs came out easy, but one just will not budge,I'm using the little tool they came with, I have also tried pliers, as has my dh to no avail.
The offending stud is now looking pretty knackered; so it's to late to save it, but I really need to get it out.
Can anyone help me?

Have tried the wd40 and it will still not bloody come out; anyone else got any ideas? purlease
