new bed is coming, we have gone from double to superking size! I have looked in all the obvious places - john lewis, ikea, cath kidston - please can you give me your more unusual off the beaten track recommendations for where to buy sheets and duvet covers?

Peacock Blue online- pricey but sales are good. Simple designs mainly

nancydrewrocked · 16/08/2010 17:55

White company.

good quality and you really should only have white bed linen

eeyore2 · 16/08/2010 17:55

White Company stuff is gorgeous. And feels lovely. Have you looked at Debenhams?

why should you have white bed linen? (takes pencil from behind ear)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, King of Cotton. I have white bedlinen because I am Old and have no small children spilling juice; younger MNers may like to reconsider.

(Though white sheets have the benefit of being able to be bleached, if needed...)

nancydrewrocked · 17/08/2010 08:17

IMO White is just so much nicer than anything else.

(although this is hardly groundbreaking or original: look in any interiors magazine/good hotel all the bed linen is white)

QVC Northern Nights. I am a bit anal when it comes to beddding and I like that their sets are 6 piece meaning 4 pillow covers instead of 4.

Best company I have every found online is Justlinen or Dawsons.

They sell end of line Sanderson, Bedeck, Sheriden etc.

I have the same problem we have super king too but this can mean the price can be over £100 just for the duvet. I have paid £50 for my designer set. Brill company, fantastic customer service too.

mamijacacalys · 21/08/2010 12:25

Thanks Bacon - the justlinen website is fantastic. Smile
Have recently gone up to a superking duvet and a bedding set I liked in in JL came to over £100. A plain Dorma set (inc pillowcases) on justlinen is just £33!

Duvet and Pillow warehouse lovely white linen I use it in our holiday rental property got 5 stars from the visit britain rating guy.
This is also a brilliant place to get duvets and pillows from beautiful siberian goose for the price of ordinary feather in the shops. DH says that he sleeps better since we switched to the siberian goose.

llareggub · 28/08/2010 21:09

Try Cologne and Cotton.

AnyFuleKno · 28/08/2010 21:17

oo never heard of that one before llareggub - I really like it! Just been looking at the nightwear - I like this a lot: www.cologneandcotton.com/epages/CologneAndCotton.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/CologneAndCotton/Products/RA_Master
