Memory foam

DD is getting rapidly bigger so we are going to buy a new bigger bed to accommodate us all.

We are going to go for Ikea because they are cheap.

Anyway. The mattress we are looking at is topped with memory foam:

-will this be dangerous for dd? (3 months)(you know, in the same way waterbeds are a no no for a wee one)

-is memory foam worth it?

-if I used a mattress topper on top (to protect from milk/vomit etc), would that mean the memory foam wouldn't "work"?

We have memory foam topper on dd's (5) bed. It is perfectly safe.
It is also the most comfortable bed in the house, and worth every penny! We call it her princess and the pea bed!
We use a mattress protector - from Dunelm I think plus a fitte sheet. Not a waterproof one, just a quilted one which seems to stop vomit etc getting through! Doesn't effect the comfort of the memory foam.
