Cleaning a Pushchair

Hello,

We have a Mamas and Papas Pliko P3, and I am really struggling to get it clean. We tried all standard cleaning produsct from washing up liquid to Cillit Bang, but it still looks dirty. It just looks dusty and dull.
Is there any way of cleaning it properly?
Our other (Graco) pushchair looks shiny and new after some moderate cleaning.

Thanks a lot,
ginger

I posted this a month or 2 ago about my Pliko Pramette and cheered on by the ladies on that thread i got the covers off and put them in the washing machine. It looks like new except for the hood.I didn't believe i could get the covers off but i did manage in the end.

Yes and she really appreciates the nice clean pram covers!! She is 6 weeks old today and is a little angel so far ....

One tip I found in desperation for my Maclaren XLR hood (Uncle decided the folded hood could carry a can of coke, WRONG, light pink too!) was the little flat adapter nozzle on a carpet shampoo machine! Fill it with a bit of vanish and it brings it up like new!

The washing machine worked on the main part of the pushchair. I'll try the shampoo machine, too. Thanks, WonderKate.

This is why MN is so great. Would never have dreamt of putting the pushchair seat in the washing machine until reading this thread. Did it last night and it has come up a treat! Far better than the stupid, ineffective scrubbing by hand thing I'd tried before...

Thanks for the tip.
