Combined (condensing) washer dryers! Help me choose.

Getting paid tomorrow. First thing on the list to buy is a new washer dryer to replace the seperate units we don't have room for.

There's just so much choice! Confused

It needs to be condensing and have a good quick wash time (not like the 60 minute one I saw yesterday, since when has 60 minutes been quick?) and a child lock if possible. Those are my only requirement really.

Can you help! What do you have and would you recommend it?

Just to add, I could probably quite happily live without the tumble dryer part but dp isn't keen and would rather have access to one "just in case"

Do you really, really not have space for separate ones? I wouldn't get a combined one. there are just too many things to go wrong and they notoriously break down lots.

There is really really no room for seperate. The tumble dryer we have now is just sat in the middle of the hallway at the moment as there's no-where for it to go.

Like I said, i'd be more than happy to not have a dryer at all but dp thinks we'll struggle without one sometimes. (Which does mean the actual dryer part won't be used that often as it's only me that does the washing lol)

I think we've choosen one anyway. Grin

I have a Miele one and I've had it for six years. It's wonderful and has yet to go wrong even though it is used almost every day. Cost an arm and a leg though. But my last (much cheaper make) lasted less than three years before it wasn't worth repairing.
