My new JL sofa is biting me!!

We had a sofa delivered last week from John Lewis, it was an ex shop display reduced to an affordable price for us.

Thing is, since we've had it, all of us are being bitten, especially me and DH at night as that's where we are sitting. DC's not bitten so badly through the day as they are up and about and running and pushing cars around etc.

Before I ring JL does anybody know how I can get rid of the bitie beasties? Or how do I prove they are in the new sofa?

Am spraying myself every 4 hours with deet type stuff!

First of all do you have any pets or have any animals visited recently? Have you had any other new (as in new or second-hand) items in the house recently.

I'm not sure how you would go about proving it is down to beasties in the sofa. Was it definitely ex-shop display or could it have been a customer return? If it was a customer return it could easily have been infested in someones house I suppose

No we have no pets, my sister visited with her dog 2 weeks before we got new sofa, but we have yucky laminate floors that are steam cleaned regularly so nowhere for beasties to hide? Maybe???

No second hand furniture in the house, no.

Do beasties hibernate til August? We moved in last September so I guess we don't know.

It was definately an ex shop display sofa as I sat on it about 6 weeks ago !

I wouldn't do anything yourself- ring the store and ask the to come and take it away for tests.
JL are brilliant for customer service, so I'd let them sort it out.

I've vacuumed it to within an inch of it's life, fingers crossed no more bites!!!!!!
Thank you purplepeony, I'll ring them tomorrow.
