neff dishwasher---beep

i have a neff dishwasher.

for some inexplicable reason it beeps loudly when it reaches the end of the cycle( when everything is too hot to take out). It then continues to beep every minute until you open the sodding door......

as it takes at least 2 hours to go through the cycle, this means that if we put it on last thing at night we get woken up 2 hours later.

is it me? i have searched the instructions for a way of stopping this and there is nothing!

and why would anyone need this function? would be useful on a washing machine ( and would stop me opening moulding machine 2 days later) but a dishwasher?

I have a Bosch which does the same - but it is built in so beeping is the only way I know when it is finished so I don't mind too much. The beeping stops after a while if you ignore it! I turn it off at the switch if I am around when it beeps.

My washing machine also beeps - I think the manual explains how to disarm the beeping.

My Bosch beeps too.
And no, I don't know why the function is even there.
Maybe we should ask Lisa from National Rail

My Smeg does the same!

My Neff dishwasher beeps twice when cycle ends, then every 10 mins until door is opened.

I have a neff dishwasher and it did this and the instructions do tell you how to sort it out- some random button pushing on the temperature buttons, so mine is silent now. I'm not at home until tomorrow night, but I'll dig it out for you and let you know if you still need it then. It makes putting a load on before bed impossible doesn't it?!
