Removing smoke smell out of bumbo

I have bought a Bumbo off ebay and stupidly didn't notice the buyer hadn't specified whether it was from a smoke free home. Anyway I have collected it and it smells of smoke!

I have tried everything I can think of to get rid of the smell including soaking it in milton and putting it in the dishwasher but I can still smell smoke .

Is there any way I can get rid of the smell, or should I just give up now and buy another?

I can't do links sorry, but it's a sort of seat which you can put a baby in from 4 months.

oh i see, well was it alot of money, because if it still smells that strongly of smoke after milton etc, i would chuck it out.

Would get another. Bit gross really to think they would have been smoking that heavily around a young baby.

Before throwing it out I'd try soaking it overnight in very hot water with loads of bicarb and white vinegar (totally immersed).

No it was a bargain compared to some on there! Was just hopefull someone on here would have a magic cure . I'll chuck it out and learn from my mistake.

white vinegar will get rid of the smell.

I'll give the white vinegar a try, and if that doesn't work I'll bin it.

I did same thing! I put mine in bath and squirted drown it with falsh with febreeze left it over night then rised really well, it still had a small smell of smoke but it went after a couple of goes with the flash lol. Smokers dont often realise how much their stuff stinks so dont put it on their listings, really annoys me though
