Can I put the doll in the washing machine?

DD2's beloved doll was left out in the garden a few months ago and now her arm is covered with mildew. I don't like the idea of her cuddling her in bed.

Can I bung some mildew remover on her and put her in the washing machine? She is a plastic head, feet and hands/soft bodied doll.

Thanks.

I would put it in the washing mashine on the wool cycle - no spin- and use vinegar in the rinse. maybe a spoon full of shampoo or ecover delicate as soap.

I recently had a similar problem, DD4's dolls were so ditry it was a case of throwing away or washing machine. I chose the washing mashine and it went ok. The one with eyes that close when you put the baby down have gor opened eyes forever now though[oops]

Thank you both. She is in the washing machine. Fingers crossed...
