Loft bedroom...anyone furnished one?

Ds1 will be in the loft bedroom when we move house in September. It's not that big and I'm wondering how to furnish it really? Has anyone any experience? I've ordered some bean bags and will be decorating it neutral so we can jazz it up with accessories.

Any tips appreciated. TIA

We only had 2 bedrooms in our bungalow so we converted the loft for DS. Its an odd shape so he has a futon bed he can pull out, a small desk and some bean bags. No room for toy storage units so we used pop up toy boxes from toys r us.

My friend had a loft room made and one of the things she had built in the room was a kind of half wardrobe (not enough height for a full one). This enabled her DD to hang up skirts or tops but not dresses.

So, if you can afford it, try and get a local carpenter to make stuff to fit.

If you want some free ideas get one of those wardrobe companies in to see what they suggest. You don't have to buy it.
