Gross I know!! But I've got a really lovely white vest which has slightly yellow stains under the arms from deoderant I think, and nothing at all will shift them....not even bleach!

Don't want to chuck my lovely top out - does anything work?

try using vinegar. White or brown work equally well. Leave to soak in for 10 mins, scrub and wash out with detergent. Works a treat!

Have you tried washing then with a couple of soluble asprin? This normally works, you will need to re wash them after as the asprin makes them smell odd.

The vinegar... neat? or diluted? Please!

Thanks all, will try the vinegar trick first seeing as I've got some handy - fingers crossed!

have you tried putting out in the sun? not deodorant, but it used to bleach my nappies clean

I had the same problem! Being a vinegar fan I did try it out and it did ok (neat).

But better than that - get some soda crystal spray (I've only seen it in Waitrose) and spray a generous amount on the stain, then get some bog-standard table salt and sprinkle onto the wet soda crystal, rub in gently and put in the washing machine but don't switch it on for about 10 minutes. Works a treat! :D

Does it work after you've already washed the top - as one of my tops has this, but is looking rather permanent now that I have already washed it a couple of times with this yellowing.
