Boys lined ready made curtains

Is it me or is it not possible to find ready made pencil pleat curtains for children (specifically my DS aged 8)? My particular problem seems to be that they need to be wider than the standard curtain width. Got some lovely polka dot curtains for DD from John Lewis with black out linings but they only do them in the standard width. Have looked around and if you do find something suitable for children then they only do in the standard width. I don't particularly want a 'theme' in case he grows out of them but don't want silky adult type curtains.

Any tips welcome. I'm probably going to go to my local Dunelm Mill but I know that their children's curtains only come in standard but hoping they might do something more suitable.

TIA

I think that 'Next' curtains come in two widths. Both my boys have their lined crutains and I've been pretty pleased with their quality.

Yes I looked at Next and they said that they did standard and wide but when you clicked the down arrow (as if to order) it said two different widths that would definitely not be big enough - think it was 135cm and 168cm.

Will look into this at some point.....

Thanks again

i think it is worth rechecking the next info - as I recall their 'wide' is very wide.

I think the 168 cm refers to the actual width of each curtain so could prob cope with a window of say 2.5m?
